Can I BYO drinks?

We offer a range of carefully curated beverage options and packages to suit your event. Our team will work with you to select the perfect drinks to complement your menu and occasion. Unfortunately BYO is not available.

Can I BYO cake?

Of course, a cakeage fee may apply, chat to your Event Manager. We are also amazing bakers and our celebration cakes are quite the signature.

Do you have onsite parking?

Absolutely! Visit our Contact page for a direct link to all parking details.

Is there public transport nearby?

The Surry Hills Light Rail stop is 450m away, while buses from the city stop at our door on Cleveland Street. Uber, taxi and bus drop off points are at the front of The EVE Hotel on Baptist Street.

Do you have a green room?

Yes, we have a green room available for events. Chat to your Event Manager about your requirements.

Do you have a bridal suite?

Yes, we have a small bridal suite (max 6 guests) or we can also connect you with The EVE Hotel next door where many of our couples are choosing to stay and prepare for their big day.

Can I bring my kids?

Of course, provided they are under adult supervision at all times, children are welcome at all Saltbox events.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

For your convenience, our menu highlights dietary information on foods that are: Vegan (VE), Vegetarian (V), Containing gluten, Containing milk.

How do I cancel my booking?

Things happen and cancellations sometimes occur, we provide a full list of terms upon booking and can be discussed in advance.

Can I take care of my own styling for my event?

Yes, speak to your Event Manager.

Is there a loading dock and how do I or my supplier access it?

Yes, this is managed by a booking system and accessed via Baptist Street. Speak to your Event Manager about your requirements.

Can we have pyrotechnics in the venue?

Unfortunately not, but we can discuss alternative effects and entertainment with the support of our AV partner.

Can we arrive early to set up?

Yes according to your agreed booking times additional access times can be arranged, fees may apply.

Can I utilise my own AV supplier?

We encourage all our clients to utilise our trusted AV supplier, Avionic Event Production. If you would prefer to work with someone else, please chat to your Event Manager about specific requirements and additional fees.

Can I drive a vehicle into the venue?

No, the venue has no access point for vehicles to be displayed inside the venue. We do have parking available via Baptist Street.

Do you allow other caterers in your venue?

Saltbox does not permit external caterers. The only exception is for select Kosher catering partners approved by Saltbox. From time to time, we also collaborate with renowned chefs for bespoke event experiences, based on the event brief. If you have something specific in mind, we'd love to discuss how we can bring your vision to life.

Do you offer bespoke food and drink options?

We have extensive menus at Saltbox to suit a variety of tastes and event styles but we are also happy to work with you on a more personalised touch - additional fees may apply.

Can I bring confetti or a confetti cannon?

No, unfortunately, but we're happy to brainstorm ways of making a "bang" at your event in a different way.
